Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients and families in the FBC setting
• Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using C-EFM and respond quickly to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective patient care
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on procedures, postpartum care, and newborn needs
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current WA State Registered Nurse License (mandatory)
• American Heart Association BLS card required
• NRP certification required
• C-EFM (certified electronic fetal monitoring) required
• Active clinical experience in obstetrics/maternity or relevant FBC settings preferred
• Ability to work night 12-hour shifts and collaborate with a diverse care team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpreting strip changes
• Skilled in maternal and newborn assessments and emergency response
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking under pressure
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Familiarity with common EMR systems and accurate documentation practices
• Team-oriented approach with a focus on patient safety and quality
