Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to long term care residents, prioritizing safety and dignity
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor changes, and escalate concerns in a timely manner
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies accurately while documenting care in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Educate residents and families on care goals and discharge planning as appropriate
• Support crisis response needs during this rapid response assignment, bringing calm and clinical skill to urgent situations

Qualifications

• Current Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• Experience in long term care or related nursing preferred
• Ability to start assignment on January 19, 2026 (assignment runs through May 4, 2026)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
• Active RN license in Alaska

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with long term care workflows and regulatory expectations
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary teams
• Prioritization and time management during 12-hour shifts
• Basic EHR/charting competency
