Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate labor and delivery nursing care for mothers and newborns (couplet care)
- Manage intrapartum care, support deliveries (approximately 60–80+ deliveries/month), and collaborate with OB/Anesthesia teams
- Care for postpartum patients and infants born 32 weeks and up, including neonatal stabilization when needed
- Participate in operating room and PACU support for Cesarean births and peripartum procedures
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and STABLE interventions when required
- Communicate clearly with families and multidisciplinary teams to deliver a patient-centered experience
- Follow evidence-based practice and participate actively in unit quality and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license to practice in Colorado
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum and couplet care (travel RN experience a plus)
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
- STABLE certification required
- Flu vaccine required (proof or agreement to obtain as requested in posting)
- Team player with strong communication skills and comfort working nights and rotating weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in labor management, fetal monitoring, and intrapartum interventions
- Newborn care for infants 32 weeks and older, including initial stabilization
- Neonatal resuscitation and STABLE protocols
- Ability to assist in OR and PACU environments for obstetric cases
- Comfort with call rotation and adapting to variable unit volume (up to 80+ deliveries/month)
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
