Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate perioperative nursing care in pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases
• Perform circulating and scrub responsibilities to support safe, efficient surgeries
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and ensure adherence to sterile technique
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures
• Support patient recovery and monitor patients in PACU as needed
• Communicate clear handoffs and document care accurately for continuity
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly when needed to support surgical services

Qualifications

• Active California RN License required
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1+ year of operating room or surgical nursing experience
• Experience in circulating and/or scrubbing roles; acute care or outpatient surgery background preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative standards and sterile technique
• Proficiency in circulating and scrub roles in the OR
• Experience with PACU and post-operative patient monitoring
• Comfort assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers
• Ability to handle on-call responsibilities and respond under pressure
• Good communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary surgical care
