Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg patients during night shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Support transitions of care, including admissions, discharges, and handoffs at shift change
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Wisconsin license or appropriate compact licensure)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications a plus
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing; Critical Access Hospital experience is a plus
• Comfort and competence working 12-hour night shifts and covering rotating weekends/holidays
• Able to meet employer requirements for immunizations, background check, and health screening

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med-surg clinical assessment and triage skills
• Safe medication administration and intravenous therapy familiarity
• Effective prioritization and time management during busy night shifts
• Clear, professional communication and teamwork with physicians and ancillary staff
• Comfort using electronic health record systems and accurate documentation practices
