Shift Type: Variable nights (as scheduled), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM overnight, totaling 36 hours/week (ability to pick up extra shifts)

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units
- Manage labor and delivery patients, including fetal monitoring and timely clinical interventions
- Deliver skilled postpartum care and patient education to support recovery and breastfeeding
- Provide newborn nursery care and initial assessments, including participation in newborn resuscitation as needed
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (Meditech experience helpful)
- Participate in unit-level safety practices, including BLS and NRP protocols, and promote family-centered care
Qualifications
- Current RN license for Washington or accepted multi-state license with required verifications
- Completion of required 6-hour suicide prevention training and Nursys demographic verification (if using multi-state license)
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (required)
- Solid hands-on experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery care
- STABLE training preferred but not required
- Ability to scrub for procedures is a plus
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (WA or accepted multi-state with verifications)
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of LDRP workflows, maternal/newborn assessments, and fetal monitoring
- Newborn resuscitation and stabilization principles (NRP, STABLE familiarity helpful)
- Comfortable with electronic charting; Meditech experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and patient education skills for families during labor and postpartum
- Ability to work independently on night shift and escalate appropriately for emergencies
