Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately document prescribed medications and IV therapy
• Perform IV starts and catheter insertions with skill and compassion
• Provide wound care and change dressings to promote healing
• Continuously monitor patient vitals and clinical status, reporting changes promptly
• Adjust and interpret readings from specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Deliver patient- and family-centered care that respects dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or eligibility for Oklahoma licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• MedSurg experience preferred; confident in a 1:5 ratio on a 14-bed unit
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and working scheduled weekends
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• IV therapy and IV starts
• Catheter insertion and related care
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Patient monitoring and vital signs assessment
• Familiarity with specialized medical equipment and interpretation of readings
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced med-surg environment
