Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU and step-down (PMCU) patients
• Float between the 19-bed mixed ICU and the PMCU as needed, adapting to patient acuity
• Manage complex patients including neuro, trauma, vascular and cardiothoracic cases
• Use Epic to document care accurately and efficiently (Epic experience required)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Support unit throughput and patient safety in a 3:1 staffing ratio environment

Qualifications

• Current California RN license (required)
• Recent ICU nursing experience and step-down/PMCU experience
• Epic experience within the last year (required to pass Epic pre-assessment)
• Comfort and experience with neuro, trauma (TNCC preferred), vascular and cardiothoracic patients
• Able to float between units and work in a 3:1 ratio environment
• Successful completion of employer credentialing and Epic pre-assessment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and intervention skills
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record workflows
• Familiarity with neuro, trauma, vascular and cardiothoracic critical care
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-acuity patients
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Adaptability to float between ICU and PMCU (step-down) units
