Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days and Nights). Day shift typical window: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Night shift typical window: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Exact days scheduled per unit rotation and may include weekends.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical excellence
- Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and invasive lines; respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, blood products, and titratable infusions safely and accurately
- Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and discharge plans with empathy and clarity
- Document care thoroughly and communicate handoffs clearly to ensure continuity and patient safety
Qualifications
- Current RN license in New York or eligibility to obtain one quickly
- ICU experience preferred; recent critical care practice a strong plus
- Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and critical care monitoring
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
- Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing in a timely manner
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred where available
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of critical care physiology and advanced monitoring
- Comfortable with ventilator management and arterial/central line care
- Proficient in IV medication administration and titration
- Skilled at rapid assessment, prioritization, and delegation under pressure
- Electronic medical record documentation and clear clinical communication
