Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in general, vascular, and echocardiography modalities
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring image quality and proper documentation
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety while delivering compassionate, professional care
• Work independently to manage your schedule, triage cases, and escalate urgent findings appropriately
• Provide on-call coverage and respond promptly when needed, remaining within the required proximity to the hospital
• Collaborate with clinical teams at KVMH and SMMH to ensure continuity of care across facilities
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing competency activities to keep skills sharp

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required in General, Vascular and Echo
• Proven experience performing general, vascular, and echocardiography exams
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness and ability to accept on-call shifts and work overtime
• Flexibility to float between KVMH and SMMH as needed
• Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital when on-call

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong technical skills in General Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, and Echocardiography
• Excellent patient positioning and transducer technique for clear diagnostic images
• Ability to troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and optimize image settings
• Good clinical judgment and communication skills for working independently
• Time management skills to handle a variable workload across multiple sites
• Comfort working weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
