Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts). Exact days and rotation vary by facility; schedule set by the client.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients promptly on arrival using focused interview techniques and objective measures to determine acuity and immediate needs
- Implement physician-directed care plans and provide direct nursing interventions to stabilize and treat emergency patients
- Administer medications safely and accurately, following established protocols and patient-specific orders
- Perform and document thorough assessments, vital signs, labs, imaging results and clinical changes in the medical record
- Provide clear, compassionate communication with patients and families, explaining care and answering questions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate timely patient flow, admissions and discharges
- Act as a patient safety advocate by following infection control, triage and safety procedures in a fast-paced ED setting
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, utilizing ACLS/BLS skills and established emergency protocols
- Support quality improvement by documenting care clearly and participating in department initiatives
Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license required or eligible to obtain a NH RN license
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; completion of an approved RN program required
- BLS certification required and ACLS certification required prior to start
- Clinical emergency department experience preferred
- Specialty certification in emergency nursing is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to work night shifts and handle a fast-paced ED environment
Education
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment and triage for emergency presentations
- Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy under ED protocols
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation and charting
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, basic emergency interventions and ACLS algorithms
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and standard ED equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating care and supporting patients under stress
- Strong attention to patient safety, infection control and confidentiality
