Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU with confidence and compassion
• Provide advanced life support care following BLS and ACLS protocols
• Manage telemetry monitoring and respond quickly to cardiac or respiratory changes
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement patient-centered plans of care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge plans
• Act as a calm, skilled responder during emergencies and rapid response situations

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an R.N. in the state of Colorado (required)
• BLS certification required upon hire
• ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire
• PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire
• Two years of relevant critical care nursing experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• TNCC preferred
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and a collaborative ICU environment

Education

• Active R.N. license in Colorado (education level not specified in posting)

• Critical care nursing principles and ICU workflow
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• BLS and ACLS algorithms and emergency response
• PALS or ENPC pediatric/trauma stabilization knowledge
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and crisis management
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
