Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and pediatric neurology patients
• Perform thorough clinical assessments and develop patient-centered care plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses with vigilance and skill
• Respond to neurological emergencies using ACLS, BLS and PALS protocols
• Collaborate closely with the hospitalist and interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
• Float to other departments as needed and deliver consistent, competent care
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Oregon or compact state licensure recommended
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (neurology experience strongly preferred)
• Comfort caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt in a rural hospital setting
• Willingness to float to other departments and work every other weekend

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and clinical assessment skills specific to neurology
• Independent practice and good clinical judgment
• Experience with 12-hour shift workflows and time management
• Ability to collaborate with hospitalists and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to float and cover other qualified patient-care areas
• Comfort working in a rural healthcare environment
