Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to identify functional deficits and develop individualized OT plans of care
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions and use physical agents to restore function
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered treatment goals
- Educate patients and families to maximize independence and safety within their environment
- Document assessments, progress, and discharge plans clearly and timely in the medical record
- Monitor outcomes and modify treatment plans to ensure measurable functional gains
- Maintain professional standards, follow facility policies, and ensure patient safety at high elevation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Unrestricted Colorado OT license required or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required, may be obtained upon hire
- Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience preferred
- Experience with EPIC documentation preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Healthy enough to safely function at high elevation (approximately 8,000 ft)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient evaluation and treatment planning
- Proficient with therapeutic interventions and physical agents
- Strong documentation skills and clinical reasoning
- Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Familiarity with EPIC charting preferred
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate with diverse patient populations
