Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine physical, mental, and spiritual needs and tailor care accordingly
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide clear explanations and education to patients and their families to support recovery and understanding
• Use nursing clinical judgment to spot and report changes in patient condition quickly and accurately
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical record documentation
• Contribute to a healthy workplace by managing conflict professionally and communicating effectively
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities and help the team maintain high-quality patient care standards
• Participate in continuing education to keep skills sharp and practice evidence-based care

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification — required
• Experience or comfort working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable documentation skills and familiarity with medical record systems
