Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients of all ages quickly and accurately in a busy emergency setting
• Lead care planning and implement interventions to stabilize and treat ED patients
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust plans to ensure safe, effective outcomes
• Document thoroughly in EPIC and communicate with the care team for seamless transitions
• Function independently on Med/Surg and Emergency duties as needed in a Critical Access environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ready to practice and proud of it
• Emergency Department and Med/Surg experience required; Critical Access experience is a plus
• EPIC experience is required for documentation and charting
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or available soon
• Comfortable practicing independently and managing a wide variety of patient presentations

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Additional specialty certifications welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation across pediatric to geriatric populations
• Strong ED triage and acute care skills
• Electronic charting proficiency with EPIC
• Excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork in a small-hospital setting
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and wear many hats in a Critical Access role
