Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality med/surg nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation
• Collaborate with the hospitalist physician and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care
• Prioritize patient safety while working independently with minimal supervision
• Provide flexible support by floating to other qualified departments as needed
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license for practice in Oregon
• Minimum three years of nursing experience, with med/surg experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (required)
• Comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Ability to work independently, follow direction when needed, and adapt to floating
• Current immunizations and facility-required health screenings (per policy)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med/surg clinical assessment and patient management skills
• Pediatric and adult care knowledge and best practices
• IV therapy, medication administration, and documentation proficiency
• Solid critical thinking, prioritization, and time management
• Clear communication and teamwork with physicians and multidisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
