Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU/CCU patients, using evidence-based practices to improve outcomes
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac and hemodynamic conditions with vigilance and clinical judgment
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and accurate records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff — to coordinate patient care
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in trauma care as part of a Level II trauma response
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during critical moments
• Float to Med/Surg as needed, bringing a critical care perspective to other units

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Prior travel nurse experience (required)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and hospital computer systems
• Experience in ICU and/or CCU (critical care nursing) — comfort with high-acuity patients
• Willingness to float to Med/Surg when needed
• Comfort working in a Level II trauma center environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and prioritization skills
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Competency with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Medication administration and IV pump management in ICU settings
• Accurate, timely documentation in EPIC
• Excellent communication and teamwork under pressure
• Ability to adapt when floating between units
