Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum mothers and newborns in the nursery
- Perform and interpret intermediate fetal monitoring to ensure maternal and fetal well-being
- Manage labor and delivery processes including assessments, interventions and documentation
- Initiate neonatal resuscitation when needed and apply NRP and STABLE protocols
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using ACLS and BLS standards
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives and the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Educate patients and families about labor progress, postpartum care and newborn needs
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow facility policies and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure as applicable
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NRP and STABLE certification required
- Demonstrated experience in Labor & Delivery, antepartum, postpartum and nursery care
- Intermediate fetal monitoring skills required
- OB circulator experience preferred
- Comfort working in a rural hospital setting and managing moderate delivery volume (approx. 20-30 deliveries/month)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in labor management, postpartum care and newborn nursery procedures
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring and fetal strip interpretation (intermediate level)
- Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization techniques
- Ability to prioritize, triage and act decisively during obstetric emergencies
- Excellent patient education, communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset with collaborative problem solving
