Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered care across ICU, PCU and Med/Surg areas on night shift
• Perform comprehensive assessments and deliver critical care interventions as needed
• Manage monitoring, documentation, and medication administration accurately and timely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Support transitions of care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and day teams
• Float between ICU and Med/Surg as unit needs require, demonstrating flexibility and clinical skill

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (multi-state license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with demonstrated competency in acute care
• Solid experience in ICU/PCU and Med/Surg settings — must be comfortable working both
• Experience in or comfort working in a Critical Access Hospital (25-bed CAH) is a plus
• Night shift experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtainable

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in acute and progressive care
• Ability to manage ventilators, infusions, telemetry monitoring, and complex meds
• Excellent prioritization and time management during high-acuity night shifts
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and clinical teams
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to cross-cover ICU and Med/Surg duties
