Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the 5-bed ICU
• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor physiologic status
• Administer medications, therapies, and advanced interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Float to Emergency Department, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics as needed to support patient care
• Assist with after-hours recovery for post-op general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients
• Maintain accurate documentation, follow hospital policies, and uphold standards of care
• Offer compassionate support and education to patients and their families during critical moments

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (valid in any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience (prior critical care experience required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) — complete within 6 months of hire if not current
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) — complete within 6 months of hire if not current
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — complete within 6 months of hire if not current

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in inpatient care, post-operative recovery, and emergency response
• Comfortable working independently and making sound clinical judgments
• Proficient documentation and familiarity with hospital policies and standards
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work respectfully within the Navajo/Hopi community
