Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and create individualized care plans
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties
• Maintain complete and accurate medical documentation and charts
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care
• Contribute to a healthy workplace by managing conflict with professional communication
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license (required)
• Current CPR/BLS card (required)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) status
• Comfortable working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment
• Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment and care-planning skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate professionally

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and individualized care planning

• Core measures and compliance in patient care
