Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across clinical specialties
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Capture and deliver clinically relevant images to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate results
• Document procedures and findings clearly in the medical record and imaging systems
• Adhere to Clinical Standards and Scope of Practice for Diagnostic Sonography
• Participate in quality assurance, equipment checks, and ongoing competency activities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• ARDMS (AB) or RVT credential required
• Current CPR or BLS certification required
• Comfortable taking call (every other weekend and one night per week) and able to flex hours as needed
• Professional, patient-focused communication skills and ability to work in a team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and ultrasound principles
• Proficient in image acquisition, scanning protocols, and probe selection
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record documentation
• Understanding of anatomy, pathology, and clinical indications for ultrasound
• Ability to follow Clinical Standards, infection control, and patient safety procedures
• Good troubleshooting skills for routine equipment checks
