Shift Type: 3 nights per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), schedule includes every other weekend (Night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery
- Perform timely assessments and intervene to ensure safe outcomes for moms and babies
- Collaborate with the family birth center team to create individualized care plans
- Deliver neonatal resuscitation and stabilize newborns as needed using NRP standards
- Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively across shifts
- Float to other departments when needed and provide competent care across units
- Support families through education, discharge teaching, and emotional reassurance
Qualifications
- Current RN license (able to practice in Oregon preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (required)
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision and able to prioritize independently
- Willingness to float to other departments where qualified and to work every other weekend
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of obstetric and newborn care practices
- Skilled in labor management, postpartum assessment, and newborn evaluation
- Ability to perform neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Excellent communication, triage, and patient education skills
- Capability to adapt in a modern, fast-paced Family Birth Center setting
