Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document patient progress clearly and promptly
• Assist patients with gait training, transfers and therapeutic exercises to improve independence
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and safety strategies to promote recovery
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Perform outcome measures, assist with discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care
• Maintain equipment, treatment areas and safety standards to support efficient therapy delivery

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Montana PTA license or ability to obtain Montana licensure prior to start
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Previous clinical PTA experience preferred and highly valued
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet immunization requirements

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Completion of all program clinical requirements and eligibility for state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities and basic manual techniques
• Proficiency in gait training, transfer techniques and assistive device training
• Familiarity with common documentation practices and electronic medical records
• Good clinical reasoning and ability to follow care plans while adapting to patient needs
• Excellent time management and organizational skills in a busy rehab setting
