Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; full-time with every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct and indirect nursing care for psychiatric and co-occurring substance use patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and contribute meaningful input to individualized treatment plans
- Develop, implement, and document nursing interventions grounded in trauma-informed recovery models
- Lead teams when assigned as charge nurse—coordinate care, delegate tasks, and support staff
- Use the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for accurate, timely documentation and communication
- Apply crisis management and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe therapeutic milieu
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to champion patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Massachusetts (required)
- Minimum one year of psychiatric nursing experience (required)
- CPR certification (required)
- Willingness to float between units and assume charge nurse responsibilities
- Previous inpatient psychiatric and/or substance use experience (preferred)
- Restraint reduction, de-escalation and crisis intervention experience (preferred)
- BSN preferred
Education
- RN license within the State of Massachusetts required
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and care planning with a trauma-informed approach
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation techniques
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records and solid computer/typing skills
- Ability to develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
- Time management, delegation, coaching and team-building capabilities
- Calm, organized approach to stressful clinical situations and strong critical thinking
