Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based physical therapy treatments to support patient recovery
• Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and document measurable goals
• Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safety to promote long-term outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Valid Maine Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain Maine PT licensure
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (diploma, B.S., or M.S.)
• Current CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Valid Maine driver’s license as required by the client
• Previous patient care experience preferred
• Professional communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program (diploma, B.S., or M.S.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention skills
• Knowledge of mobility, therapeutic exercise, and functional training
• Proficiency with documentation and patient progress tracking
• Ability to prioritize caseload and manage time in a busy environment
• Comfort collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and educating patients
