Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and compassionate assistance with activities of daily living
- Perform nursing support tasks following established methods and procedures
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and changes in condition
- Support patient mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
- Assist nursing staff with clinical tasks and unit workflows
- Deliver care across a variety of settings including SNF, ICF, medical-surgical units, and home care
- Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team and patient families
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Must be able to work any and all shifts including nights and weekends
- Comfortable working in SNF, ICF, medical-surgical, and home care environments (preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start (preferred)
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented with strong patient advocacy skills
Education
- CNA certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on patient care skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
- Skilled in safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Good clinical documentation and charting habits
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Adaptable to rotating shifts and changing care environments
- Awareness of infection control and safety best practices
