Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts (night shift rotation; exact start/end times vary by unit), rotating nights with every-other-weekend coverage required; guaranteed 36 hours per week; must work specified holidays in November/December

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a high-volume ER setting
- Stabilize and manage trauma and critically ill patients alongside ED physicians and mid-levels
- Perform rapid patient assessments — cardiac, stroke, sepsis, respiratory distress and more
- Administer medications, treatments and advanced life support per ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC protocols
- Collaborate with RTs, ED techs, transport and inpatient teams to coordinate patient flow and holds
- Document all care and interventions clearly and timely in Epic
- Participate in resuscitation teams and critical procedures when needed
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during stressful events
Qualifications
- Active RN license — Washington or Compact licensure accepted
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; TNCC and PALS or ENPC; NIHSS per unit requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (listing states 2 years); will consider candidates with 1 year in a larger trauma setting
- Comfort and competency working in an ER/Trauma Center with high patient volume
- Ability to work night shifts, every-other-weekend rotation, and required holiday coverage
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma — BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong trauma and emergency nursing skills including triage and patient assessment
- Experience with Epic charting and electronic documentation
- Familiarity with respiratory support equipment (Vents, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow) and ABG interpretation
- EKG recognition and basic rhythm strip interpretation; collaboration with monitor techs
- Ability to manage ED holds and coordinate inpatient placement
- Comfort caring for diverse presentations: cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory, mental health
