Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the interventional radiology suite for procedures, ensuring sterile technique and equipment readiness
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic and procedural images
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures by providing instruments, monitoring patient status, and anticipating needs
- Perform patient preparation and positioning with care, dignity, and attention to safety
- Document procedures, patient information, and images accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, nurses, and technologists to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in required checklists and competency validations such as the Trinity Skills Checklist
Qualifications
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS credential required
- Active license/certification verification as required by facility and state
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, color vision, immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella), and TB testing
- Comfortable working night shifts and weekends, and participating in holiday and on-call rotations
- Completion of facility onboarding requirements including Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and Trinity Color Vision
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited radiologic technology, sonography, or vascular/interventional technologist program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures and image-guided techniques
- Proficient in operating ultrasound/fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment
- Strong patient care skills, including positioning, monitoring, and infection control
- Detail-oriented documentation and ability to follow protocols and checklists
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure procedural settings
