Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist with implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain function
- Provide therapeutic interventions that support functional improvement and greater independence
- Accurately document treatments in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with the OT, rehab team, nursing staff, and patient families to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines to protect patients and the team
- Promote a positive, patient-focused environment that supports recovery and dignity
Qualifications
- Licensed COTA in the state of California (required)
- SNF experience preferred; new graduates are welcome for contract roles
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering quality patient care
- Ability to accurately document treatments and follow regulatory standards
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational occupational therapy interventions and COTA skills
- Skilled nursing and rehabilitation care practices
- Clinical documentation and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Clear communication with interdisciplinary teams and families
- Time management and adaptability in a fast-moving clinical environment
