Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rehab department to ensure smooth, patient-centered care
- Manage staff scheduling, caseload assignments, and productivity expectations to optimize team performance
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations to maintain high standards
- Provide clinical support through evaluations, treatment planning, and staff development
- Promote effective communication across therapy, nursing, and administration to improve outcomes
- Monitor documentation accuracy, completeness, and timeliness to support quality care and compliance
- Foster a positive, supportive, and patient-centered culture that values staff and patients
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations to build a strong team
Qualifications
- Licensed PT, OT, SLP, PTA or COTA in California (required)
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a rehab setting preferred
- Strong understanding of therapy workflows, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
Education
- Licensed PT, OT, SLP, PTA or COTA in California
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of skilled nursing and rehab therapy workflows
- Familiarity with documentation standards and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to mentor and support clinical staff and drive quality outcomes
- Organizational skills for staffing, scheduling, and productivity oversight
