Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care on the medical unit during 8-hour shifts, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform focused nursing assessments and promptly report changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and follow-up care to support recovery
• Maintain accurate, timely charting to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license required
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or may be obtained upon hire
• Previous experience in medical/surgical or acute care settings is a plus
• Comfort and competence with medication administration, focused assessments, and documentation
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing (LVN) program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe clinical procedures
• Focused patient assessment and structured handoff communication
• Accurate documentation and charting to support continuity of care
• Infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
• Time management to handle a busy 8-hour shift effectively
• Empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and families
• Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team

This is a travel contract, so while you are based in Corcoran you can explore the Central Valley on your off days.
