Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care on the medical unit, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform focused nursing assessments and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate, timely charting to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license (required)
• BLS/CPR certification (preferred or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Previous experience in medical/surgical or acute care settings is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing program (LVN)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic clinical procedures
• Patient assessment, documentation, and effective handoff communication
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Time management to handle a busy shift effectively
• Empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and families
