Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department to ensure smooth, patient-focused care
- Manage therapy staff schedules, caseloads, and productivity while supporting work-life balance
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations to protect patients and the facility
- Support therapists with evaluations, treatment planning, and clinical guidance to elevate care quality
- Facilitate clear communication between therapy, nursing, and administrative teams to improve outcomes
- Monitor documentation for accuracy and timeliness to maintain high standards and regulatory readiness
- Hire, onboard, train, and develop staff to build a strong, motivated rehab team
- Promote a positive, patient-centered culture that drives excellent rehabilitation results
Qualifications
- Licensed PT, OT, SLP, or licensed assistant (PTA or COTA) in California
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a rehab or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services
Education
- Professional licensure as PT, OT, or SLP (or PTA/COTA) in California (as listed in qualifications)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical leadership and team management
- Therapy evaluation and treatment planning
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge for skilled nursing and rehab
- Documentation standards and quality monitoring
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with nursing and administrative teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
