Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist with evaluations and development of individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living, mobility, and strengthening
- Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on functional strategies to support independence
- Document therapy services clearly and efficiently to maintain high-quality records
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate resident-centered care
Qualifications
- Active California COTA license required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- SNF experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and clinical skills to engage residents and team members
- Available for a 13-week contract and able to commit to full-time hours
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Therapeutic interventions for ADLs, mobility, and strengthening
- Skilled documentation practices and efficient charting
- Ability to educate residents and caregivers on functional strategies
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
- Caseload management and delivering patient-centered therapy
