Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform OBGYN procedures including PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon placements and NST monitoring
• Start and maintain IVs, draw blood and perform phlebotomy with accuracy and compassion
• Administer medications and vaccines safely and document administration thoroughly
• Provide timely telephone triage and follow-up phone calls to support patient care continuity
• Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings or escalate when appropriate
• Reconcile medications, review allergies and update patient health questionnaires
• Label and process specimens correctly and adhere to isolation precautions
• Chart patient encounters clearly and efficiently in Epic to keep the care team aligned

Qualifications

• Active California LVN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of LVN experience, including at least 1 year of OBGYN experience
• BLS certification (AHS or ARC) required
• IV / Blood Draw Certification required
• Flu vaccination required (no declinations or exemptions accepted)
• Epic experience preferred
• Phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring/testing preferred
• Pending licenses not accepted; local candidates within a 50-mile radius are considered

Education

• Active California LVN license (required)
• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing program or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and medication reconciliation
• Telephone triage and patient follow-up communication
• Vaccine administration and vital sign monitoring
• Interpretation of laboratory results and specimen labeling
• Pharmacy call handling and patient refill coordination
• Experience with IM & SQ injections and IV therapy
• Comfortable working in an outpatient OBGYN setting and supporting women’s health needs
• Charting proficiency in Epic
