Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding while preserving dignity
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient conditions accurately
- Communicate changes in patient status to the nursing team promptly
- Support patient mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through friendly, respectful interactions
- Assist with basic documentation and shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
- Comfort taking and recording vital signs
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced care setting
- Teamwork mindset and attention to patient safety
