Shift Type: Two day shifts per week (day shifts, no call). Exact start/end times are flexible and will be arranged with the hiring manager to suit the sonographer's needs.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiography exams using ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of the heart
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring consistent image quality and patient safety
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnoses and patient care
- Provide compassionate patient communication — explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure comfort
- Review and document findings accurately in patient records and assist with follow-up needs
- Support a safe, efficient imaging environment by following protocols and infection-control procedures
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program (required)
- ARDMS registered or registry eligible in Adult Echo (required)
- Minimum of one year performing echocardiography exams (preferred)
- Minimum of one year experience in a rural hospital setting (preferred)
- Experience with abdomen, OB/GYN, breast, and vascular ultrasound is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cardiologists and clinical teams
Education
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program
Knowledge & Skills
- Echocardiography / Adult Echo
- Cardiac sonography and diagnostic ultrasound techniques
- Patient communication and patient-centered care
- Anatomy and physiology relevant to cardiac imaging
- Collaboration with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with other ultrasound modalities (abdomen, OB/GYN, breast, vascular) — preferred
