Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes every other weekend; rotating nights with flexibility to float within ED

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse, high-volume patient population
- Perform rapid patient assessment and triage to prioritize care and improve outcomes
- Administer and manage medications and infusions using Baxter pumps and other infusion devices
- Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
- Coach and give real-time feedback to colleagues to promote a culture of learning
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate timely patient care
- Deliver exceptional patient experience using AIDET and respectful, clear communication
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC to be completed within 90 days of hire
- Experience working in high-volume EDs and familiarity with level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center workflows
- Comfortable using Cerner for clinical documentation
- Ability to float to all areas of the ED and work effectively as part of a team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing and rapid patient assessment
- Triage principles and prioritization in a busy ED
- Proficient documentation in Cerner
- Clinical coaching, mentoring and giving constructive feedback
- Use and monitoring of cardiac monitors and GE systems
- Infusion pump management including Baxter pumps
- Strong teamwork, communication and patient experience focus
