Shift Type: Rotating schedule including nights and every-other weekend, 12:45 PM - 1:15 AM (overnight)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care and rapid clinical assessment for a diverse, high-volume patient population
- Stabilize and manage acutely ill and injured patients using evidence-based practices
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately in Cerner
- Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and unit staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient experience
- Coach and give real-time feedback to teammates to support skill development and a strong team culture
- Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and use unit equipment (Baxter pumps, GE monitors) with competence
- Champion patient experience standards (AIDET, respectful communication, timely updates) throughout each visit
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Experience in Level 2 trauma centers, comprehensive stroke centers, or high-volume EDs (>100,000 visits) preferred
- Comfortable coaching colleagues, working across ED sections, and supporting a fast-paced, multicultural patient population
- Willingness to wear required navy scrubs and adhere to unit policies
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner electronic documentation
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring and use of GE monitors
- Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and ED equipment
- Strong triage, critical thinking, and rapid assessment skills
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient experience practices (AIDET)
- Experience in high-volume emergency workflows and behavioral hold management
