Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist on cardiac catheterization cases with precision and attention to sterile technique
• Monitor cases in MacLab and other monitoring systems to ensure patient safety
• Operate and troubleshoot GE X-ray and cath lab equipment including assistive devices such as Impella and IABP
• Perform advanced procedural support including IVUS, OCT, FFR/RFR and atherectomy as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs and the care team to provide seamless patient flow and high quality care
• Document procedures accurately in MacLab and Meditech to maintain clear patient records
• Respond to STEMI calls and urgent activations with calm, efficient action

Qualifications

• ARRT certification or RCIS required; RT with cath lab experience welcome
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience (scrubbing and/or monitoring cases)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proven ability to scrub cardiac cath cases and participate in STEMI call rotations
• Comfortable with MacLab monitoring and Meditech electronic charting
• Familiarity with cath lab devices such as Impella, IABP, IVUS, OCT and peripheral tools

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
• ARRT certification or RCIS credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and EP/IR basics
• Skilled in sterile technique, instrument handling and intra-procedural support
• Competent operating GE fluoroscopy/X-ray equipment in the cath lab environment
• Able to multitask during high-acuity cases while maintaining situational awareness
• Clear communicator who works well in fast-paced, team-oriented settings
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and case documentation workflows
