Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based approaches such as CBT and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
- Conduct clinical assessments, develop clear treatment plans, and document progress accurately
- Deliver screening follow-up, crisis intervention, brief therapy, and make appropriate referrals as needed
- Coordinate care and case management in collaboration with medical staff in the outpatient clinic
- Build rapport quickly with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to integrated care plans
- Maintain timely, thorough clinical documentation to support quality care and compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a human services field (Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work)
- Current LMFT, LPC, LBHP, or LCSW; must be working toward Alaska licensure or able to obtain Alaska license within six months of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience providing assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and individual/family/group therapy
- Basic computer skills and comfort with standard office technology
- Strong written and verbal communication and demonstrated cultural competence
Education
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or related human services field
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
- Crisis intervention and case management
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
- Behavioral Activation, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing
- Trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approaches
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and communities
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and prioritization
- Basic computer literacy for clinical documentation and communication
