Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
- Dispense medications and oversee medication distribution for inpatient units
- Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Rotate into ambulatory roles such as anticoagulation clinic or oncology and deliver focused outpatient care
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to optimize medication therapy
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and facility policies
- Counsel patients and families on medication use, side effects, and monitoring when appropriate
- Document interventions, clinical decisions, and patient encounters clearly and professionally
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility for reciprocation within 90 days
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (meets AHA standards) and renewal every two years if working in anticoagulation clinic
- Recent hospital experience preferred
- Pharmacy residency and advanced practice certifications are a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication order verification and safe medication dispensing
- Clinical pharmacy practices across inpatient and ambulatory settings
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Patient-centered care and counseling techniques
- Experience with anticoagulation management and outpatient clinic workflows (preferred)
- Team collaboration, problem solving, and attention to detail
