Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies with accuracy and professionalism
• Independently manage patient testing from start to finish while maintaining high quality and safety standards
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and provide compassionate patient care throughout the exam
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and ensure proper documentation of studies
• Collaborate and communicate findings with the clinical team to support timely patient care
• Adhere to departmental protocols and participate in quality assurance initiatives

Qualifications

• Certified ECHO/Vascular technologist (RVT certification required)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a solo workload
• Proven experience performing echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies
• Comfort with a variable schedule and flexible shift assignments
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain if required by facility

Education

• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required
• Completion of an accredited cardiovascular/vascular sonography program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in echocardiography techniques and vascular ultrasound imaging
• Knowledge of vascular technology standards and RVT best practices
• Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and image archiving systems
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload in a variable schedule setting
• Patient-centered approach with solid interpersonal skills
