Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult patients in the Burn/Trauma ICU, managing complex clinical needs
• Monitor hemodynamics and ventilator settings, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Perform wound care, manage EVDs, and participate in Massive Transfusion Protocols and codes as needed
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and specialists to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Mentor and support colleagues on the unit, stepping in to help when census or acuity changes

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (able to practice in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience; trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience required
• BSN preferred (candidates with BSN will be considered first)
• CCRN preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills; team-player attitude

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ICU nursing and critical care equipment
• Experience with burn care, trauma care, and surgical ICU practices
• Comfortable performing wound care, managing EVDs, and participating in MTP and codes
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for accurate documentation
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, and bedside assessment skills
