Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight); schedule includes every-other-weekend and varies to meet department needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center
- Perform triage and rapid assessment to prioritize patient needs and initiate timely interventions
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac monitoring equipment for at-risk patients
- Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in Cerner
- Coach and give constructive feedback to colleagues in real time to support team performance
- Collaborate with techs and unit clerks to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient experience
- Adhere to AIDET and other patient experience standards to keep patients informed and respected
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (state of practice requirements apply)
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department
- Experience in a high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) or Level II trauma/comprehensive stroke center preferred
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS and BLS
- PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS required before start/on hire; ENPC within 90 days of hire
- Comfortable with triage, cardiac monitoring, and working across all ED sections
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency department clinical judgment and triage skills
- Proficient with Cerner documentation
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and GE monitors
- Familiarity with Baxter pumps and related equipment
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and coaching abilities
- Flexible approach to assignment location within the ED
