Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Provide advanced cardiac monitoring and intervene as needed to stabilize patients
• Deliver high-quality patient care across a high-volume ED environment
• Manage patient ratios effectively while advocating for safe staffing and patient safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, timely care
• Coach and give real-time feedback to colleagues to support a learning culture
• Document care clearly and thoroughly in Cerner to maintain continuity and compliance
• Support excellent patient experience using AIDET and continuous communication

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential (required)
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Comfortable floating within ED sections and working every other weekend

• Experience with Cerner documentation system
• Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors
• Ability to manage high patient volumes and variable patient ratios
• Excellent teamwork, communication, coaching, and feedback skills
• Commitment to patient experience principles and bedside communication
