Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Position and prepare patients with compassion, explaining procedures clearly and easing anxiety
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain strict infection control practices
- Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and image labeling
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the radiology team to prioritize urgent studies
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and coordinate basic maintenance or service calls
- Contribute to a welcoming patient experience and support the mission of the critical access hospital
Qualifications
- ARRT certified in Radiography or CT (or registry-eligible with plans to obtain certification)
- Active Illinois radiologic technologist licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
- Comfortable and experienced performing CT and X-ray exams; prior critical access or small-hospital experience a plus
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Education
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field; certificate programs considered
- ARRT certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with CT protocols and standard X-ray exams
- Strong patient positioning and immobilization techniques
- Familiarity with PACS, DICOM image handling, and basic EMR workflows
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small-team environment
- Good clinical judgment and attention to image quality and documentation
