Shift Type: Rotating nights (overnight), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, includes every other weekend; overnight/night shift
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a high-volume ED environment
- Perform triage and rapid assessment to prioritize patient needs
- Monitor cardiac status and manage cardiac monitoring equipment
- Administer and manage IV infusions and Baxter pump use safely
- Document care accurately and promptly in Cerner
- Coach and give real-time feedback to colleagues to support a learning culture
- Maintain excellent patient experience using AIDET and consistent communication
- Float among ED sections as needed to maintain unit flow and patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS required prior to start; PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS required before hire or per unit guidance
- ENPC to be completed within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work nights and every other weekend, flexible and team-oriented mindset
- Previous HCA experience is a plus
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient use of Cerner electronic documentation
- Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors
- Strong triage skills and emergency assessment
- Cardiac monitoring and acute care interventions
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department
- Excellent communication, patient-centered care, and cultural sensitivity
